The Rainbow Bridge

Kuddly Koala, Sir Sneezy and
Jumpy K'Roo were discussing
where they go when they die!
They knew that Kajun Momma recently
had told several of her friends and family goodbye,
when they died and went to live in Heaven.
She had always told them that she will see them
again in Heaven, when God calls her home!
Sir Sneezy noticed Kajun Momma walking thru the forest,
and asked her to join in the discussion.

When she was asked to answer their question,
she quickly reached in her bag of stuff she carries everywhere,
and pulled out a newspaper clipping.
Before reading the clipping to the animals,
she told them, "I read this in the paper many years ago,
and just knew it would come in handy one day.
It was in an Ann Landers column, and I love the way it ends!!"

Then she read:

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys
with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water and warm spring weather.
The old and frail animals are young again.
Those who are maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing:
they are NOT with their special person
who loved them on Earth.
So, each day they run and play until the day comes
when one suddenly looks up.
The nose twitches. The ears are up.
The eyes are staring.
Then suddenly this one runs from the group!!

Their special person has been seen,
and when they meet, the person grabs their pet
and envelops the animal in a great big hug.
The person is kissed again and again by their pet,
as once more they can look into each others eyes!!

Then they cross the Rainbow Bridge together,
never again to be separated!!

"So, you see", says Kajun Momma,
"God makes sure we are ALL united after death!"!
